Leo carries the symbol of his family on his back in the form of a tattoo. A three symbol Kanji depicting the true nature of his clan is the general make up, not too intricate. It is also what sparks the awakening of his Shamanic Abilities when the seal is written onto his body. "Blood Lust" is what is read on his back; this is well out of view from public eyes. Personality:
Leo can tend to be a very distant person, a social outcast if you will. He has a small group of people he can actually "communicate" with even though he doesn't really have them considered as friends. He's mostly this way because of what happened to him on his sixteenth birthday, something that he doesn't want anyone in his school to even know about. If you were to actually make friends with this boy, a person would see that he's actually a very gentle soul. Sort of like a diamond, that is rough around the edges so it doesn't shine like it should. However, just because he is kind on the inside that he wouldn't lash out at anyone on the outside.
Good Points: Strong willed, cautious, gentle natured, athletic, and intelligent.
Weak Points: Stubborn, suspicious, distant, rude, and sarcastic.
Biggest Strength: Quick thinking in battle, as well as the physical aspects to preform what he is aware. (Note: this is only when he is in Spirit Mode.)
Biggest Weakness: He's not what you call a "Team Player" when it comes to, well... anything. The only way he could really do anything with a partner is if he had a deep bond of trust with said person.
History/Backstory:
Almost everything before his sixteenth birthday is average for almost every teenager. A stable home, a good social life, different club activities to fill up his time, and great scores in his class ranking. However, it all changed for him on his sixteenth birthday when the man in black showed up. When you see a man in all black right before fall, when it's still hot out, you would think he was a Gothic type or possibly a government agent. This man was neither of these things, nor was he ever in Leo's life... to his knowledge. The voice of the male was gentle as he spoke, "Are you ready... for your destiny to be revealed?" Leo had no idea what he could even be talking about, what was this crap about destiny? It wasn't until later that Leo realized what the mysterious man meant. His family had waited to put him through a ritual, one used by his clan for years in order to gain the powers of the Shaman. It wasn't like other Shaman families, who were born with the gift, or possible curse of seeing and interacting with spirits. They used ancient Shaman magic to awaken the powers of a Shaman within Leo by rite of blood seal. That is what the three Kanji symbols on his back are, which read "Blood Lust" which was told to Leo as the name of their Clan's regularly used Shaman ability. The boy was different though from the old users of this line; his power didn't fully awaken after the ritual (probably because of all of his struggling on resisting this power burning within). He just wanted a normal life, but now he has only a half normal life so to speak. Leo Blackhart's abilities ended up only manifesting enough to be that of a apprentice Shaman. The rest of his family feared that he'd be unable to take another ritual, since the failures usually ended in death so they left it be; since then, the male had been partnered up with a spirit that looks surprisingly close to his age until he was able to become more powerful. Now, after a year of time spent with his partner and learning about himself he's been dreading the day the Shaman Fights begun.

Guardian Ghost/Spirit Ally: Ryuko
Weapon: Two small combat knives, which are only as useful in battle as he is able to use them while in Human form.

Hyoi Gattai Appearance: The only real chance during this stage is that Ryuko manifests his physical features and clothing over Leo, this is referred to them both as "Spirit Mode" and increases his physical attributes to that near super-human. Agility, strength, and dexterity are all enhanced to their full potential a human body can withstand. However... the drawback to this power is high, because once all of the Furyoku is used, Leo is unable to continue and passes out almost instantly. This makes him defenseless and an easy kill for anyone who bests him.
Oversoul Appearance: This is somewhat of a better and lower risk version of his Hyoi Gattai, it changes his two combat knives into large and more complex blades that are somewhat like the arms of a praying mantis. His abilities aren't all now being enhanced and in turn leaving him in good flexibility of how he wants to do things. He won't pass out after losing his Furyoku, and also will keep the appearance of Ryuko until the breaking of his Oversoul is done.
