Light the Night with Stars: The Secret Story ( Lily x Rayne )

A few days after the encounter of both Lilith and Diana, Rayne found himself now utterly bored with nothing to do now; he had decided to go find some late night fun and stumbled upon a night club filled with dozens upon dozens of people. Even though he was slight tired at the time, there was a feeling about the inside of this place that drew him nearer. Possibly a Spiritual Item or maybe a Shaman... he'd know soon enough regardless.

Once verifying himself to the bouncer, he headed inside to a loud and busy crowd. Most of them were teenagers from the ages eighteen to twenty nine by the looks of it. Making his way to the bar was something he did first, he was slightly parched though not enough to want a buzz. His order consisted of a soda and a side order of cheese fries. Now he sat and waited for his order wondering what this night would bring about in such a place.

The music was always faint at first. Now, the beat struggled to find Lilith, but she didn't seem to care. The music grew louder with every sip of the martini in her right hand. Every time her lips touched to the edge of the glass, her molecules gathered themselves again in a burst of energy. She wouldn't let herself get wasted, though, for fear of stumbling home with hazy eyesight. Caught in a sea of flowing bodies, she was no more than a small bundle of cells. The strobe lights flashed, cutting the waves of movement into freeze-frame clicks.

She was caught in a tight circle of inviting people. None of them knew each other, but they felt the same burn on their skin when they brushed together.

Finding herself with an empty glass, Lilith pushed her way past her peers and back towards the bar. She was living proof that a fake I.D. could get you anywhere if it was printed correctly. Head aching from the flashes of the strobe lights, she sat down and ordered another round, promising herself it would be her last. It took her a moment to realize the man from before was sitting just a few seats away. Biting down on her tongue, she shielded her vision with her hand.

"Fuck..." She exhaled, turning away.

With his order still being on the way, Rayne decided to take the chance to observe his surroundings. The strobe lights were flashing, the music was blaring, and his body felt the beat each time the bass rose. His eyes continued to wonder as people were dancing all over one another in such manners that would seem slightly erotic to those with a perverted mind. However, Rayne wasn't the type to be so enticed just from some gyrating hips or suggestive poses.

A few seconds went by, slowly compared to the fact of the strobe lights making everything seem like it was in slow motion. His head turned to see almost no one on the bar and at the dance floor other then himself and a small saturated girl. Something was strange about this... she was familiar, too familiar. After a moment or recollection he realized, it was her... Lilith. What the hell was she doing in a place like this, let alone ordering from the bar.

"Lilith... what the hell are you doing here?"

His voice had a slight surprise to it, a bit of shock but not enough to break his composure. Finding this underage girl her was a surprise indeed... yes indeed.

Lilith swallowed hard, her throat suddenly dry and hot. She shut her eyes tightly and wished him away for a second or two, but knew that he wouldn't disappear. Briefly exhaling, she cast him a single anxious glance, instantly gazing down to the table. Her fingertip lightly traced the wood finish, trying to let the words form on her tongue. This was a regular thing for her.

"I come here every Saturday." She cleared her throat and rested her chin in her palm, still refusing to grant eye contact. "What're you doing here, Mom?"

He was slightly at awe for a moment, looking down at her with a curious gaze. "I come here every Saturday." Well that sure did seem like Lilith, she wasn't the classiest girl he'd ever met. "What're you doing here, Mom?" That one however kinda ticked him off being at how he took it.

"Well excuse a legal adult like myself to not go out once in a while to have a bit of fun on boring days."

Even though the tone of his voice was a bit annoyed, he wasn't gonna just bust her around people so he had a quieter voice when he spoke the word 'legal' in that sentence. He had to said to himself that he was disappointed in her, but he also had to said that teenagers always went through this kind of phase. Lilith's phase was a just a bit... longer, and more out of control.
