Last Night on Earth ((Kylie and Larkie!))

"I'm fine, really, I am." Ritsuka insisted. She looked at him from over her shoulder and scoffed. "What are you, an idiot?" She asked, rolling her eyes at the thought of being carried down the street. "Nevermind, that's not even important. God, what is WITH THIS WEATHER?!"
She walked about a mile muttering to herself about how cold it was, being careful not to slip again. When they came to the apartment gate, she turned to face him again.
"I guess you could come inside if you want. I don't have anything to feed you, but I think we have coffee or something..."
Her eyes were pleading. If she'd brought a friend home, maybe her parents would get off her back for the night.

Kisshu smiled at the invite. Already she was so trusting? He saw the plea in her eyes, and a part of him wanted so desperately to crush her then and there. But the sound of coffee was promising. He had found that he enjoyed the buzz it gave him. And besides, this way he'd know what window was hers. "Alright then. If you really don't mind that is." He wondered if she caught the sly tone to his voice.

Ritsuka's strange expression was back again. She shrugged off his facial expression and crept up the stairs. Even though something told her that if she fell, she'd be caught, she didn't like the idea of the food falling every which way. Once they were at the top, she kicked the door twice. It flew open immediately, and a small boy stood in her way, arms outstretched.
"What's the password?" He asked, his voice stuffy from allergies.
"I have food, Ryoko. Let me in."
Her younger brother was quiet for a minute, but soon moved aside. Once she was in, she blocked off Kisshu. "Hey! Whose this guy?! Where's Heikichi?!"
"Heikichi didn't come home with me today, Ryoko!" Ritsuka called out from the kitchen. "That's just Kisshu, let him pass!"

Kisshu forced himself to smile to the little brat. "Hello there." He found it harder to smile for this young one than it had been for his sister. He wasn't so fond of children. Too much time around Taruto for that. He sighed and made to go past the boy, not really wanting to converse at all. He was more fascinated with the petite girl he had followed home.
'Tsk tsk. She really should no better than to let strange men into her house. I'll be sure to help her learn that lesson.' Just this thought made him smirk.

Ritsuka appeared from within the kitchen, moving to the couch in the living room. She gazed down upon her mother, Keiko, hands on her hips. "Keiko," she said, sternly. "Food's on the table. Get your ass up."
Keiko rolled over, pulling the blanket up over her head with a groan. Her hair was matted down to her forehead with sweat, a little bit of dried blood under her nose. "I don't wanna eat..." She muttered.
Ritsuka took a firm hold of the comforter and yanked it off, making Keiko sit up, shivering.
"Hey!" Keiko exhaled, her eyes bloodshot.
"Get a hold of yourself, mother. We have a guest."
Keiko looked up, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. She took one glance at Kisshu and fell back down. This made Ritsuka scoff and face the newcomer.
"I'm so sorry..." She said, moving closer. Her hand took a firm hold on his arm, dragging him down the hallway. "Ryoko, go to bed once your done, kay?"
"Got it."

Kisshu let Ritsuka pull him along by the arm, though ever instinct within him, every muscle in his body, was screaming to slam her into the wall for thinking she could lead him anywhere without him saying so. He chided himself. 'I'm biding my time. There are witnesses now, and the fun would end too soon. No, I have to wait. Wait until she needs me desperately.' He hummed to distract himself as she pulled him along.
This Keiko woman...he wondered if it was Ritsuka's mother. Maybe a sister... He didn't really know. Either way, the young girl didn't seem to like the older woman one bit and he didn't blame her. She was a mess. A waste. Maybe he'd do Ritsuka a favor on his way out and kill her...

Ritsuka yanked him into the room at the end of the hallway, slamming the door behind her. She let go of his arm, twisting the small lock handle on the doorknob to the right and pressing her back up against the hard frame. A long sigh escaped her throat, a hand coming up to the back of her neck. All she could think of was Keiko lying their on the couch, high. That stupid bitch...
"Look, I'm uh... Really sorry about that..."

He smiled as if he understood, as if he cared. "No, it's alright. Are you ok?" He hoped she wasn't. He wanted so badly to see her cry; if even just a little. He inwardly laughed at this. 'You're such a wicked person, Kisshu. Picking on a little girl so you can do the things you want to but can't to your Koneko.' He let his hand come up and cup Ritsuka's cheek, gazing at the girl with falsely gentle eyes.

Ritsuka involuntarily let her gaze wander up to his face as he pressed his hand against her cheek. She narrowed her eyes at him, smiling half heartedly. This guy... he's really weird... Like he's straight out of some sort of television show.
"You're strange."
She took this opportunity to take a look at his physical features a little bit closer. Those ears... they... weren't fake. And that hair? Yeah. That wasn't a wig.
Her face suddenly went a little pale. "Uh..."

Kisshu smirked as she realized his feature weren't fake. "I told you I was from far far away, didn't I sweetheart?" He leaned in towards her, caressing her cheek lightly. "You're not afraid of me now are you?" Oh, how he hoped she was. He prayed that she would be trembling and whimpering in seconds. This was just getting more and more fun by the moment!

Ritsuka stood there wide eyed for a moment. She adjusted the position of her neck to look at him more closely. "I think I remember where I've seen you before." Blinking, she lifted a hand up and pinched the edge of his ear. "Yeah, I remember. You've been on the news a couple of times. You're that--..." She paused, her eyes widening even further. "That alien..."

She'd always thought the alien invasion thing to be fake. Heikichi had swayed her on that opinion. But... The skin on his ears was way too real, his hair was naturally green. This was just too much to swallow in one bite. "Uh... You should leave."

He pouted. "Oh, don't be cold now, Ritsu-Chan. Have I done anything bad to you? No." 'Not yet at least...' He gave her the saddest, loneliest expression he could manage. He stroked her cheek even softer than before. "Ritsu-Chan, I just want to be your friend." Such sweet sweet lies.

Ritsuka ground her teeth together, pressing her palms up against his shoulders. She shoved him back and away. "Look," she said, sternly. "I don't know you, you don't know me, and this is all going way too fast for my taste. If you could please escort yourself elsewhere. You've got that teleporty thing, right? Please put it to good use."

Kisshu had to consciously make sure that his eyes didn't narrow into a glare. Instead, he sighed sadly. "Alright then, Ritsu-Chan. If that's really what you want..." He teleported out of her room, hiding and watching from outside the window.

Ritsuka stood still for a few moments, uncomfortable with the fact that a man had just disappeared into thin air right in front of her. Not even a man... an alien. The sanctuary that had once held her peaceful mind turned into an intimidating darkness, a silence. In her mind, she could still hear his voice, see his face. She forced herself to move her feet, slowly towards the long mirror hanging from her wall. Staring at her reflection, she mentally pointed out all the things that were wrong with her.

God, my hair's a mess... Ugh, did I get dirt on my face when I fell? No, I think that's a bruise. Where the hell did that come from?

With trembling fingers, she unzipped her jacket, letting it fall to the floor. Her eyes scanned over her shoulders, bare from wearing nothing underneath but a white tanktop. She sighed, moving in a half circle to reach her bed. Everything ached, even without her father's physical punishment. With a soft and slow disposition, she lied down upon her bed. All the muscles in her body rioted, cramping up as they fought to stay awake. Had to wait at least a half hour to make sure he was gone. But... she kept drifting, her thoughts dipping into a void of fantasy far away from this reality.

Kisshu quickly grew bored of watching the girl try to sleep. He returned home, knowing that he could always find her when next he wanted to. And he could cut her. He could hit her. He could make her bleed. He could make her cry. He could absolutely destroy her. And it would be beautiful. He smiled as a few snowflakes fell on his head.

When Ritsuka awoke the next morning, she could feel Ryoko underneath her arm. She didn't need to open her eyes to know that it was him. He must have picked at her lock again to get in. The little brat...
Oh well. It was Saturday morning, anyway. It's not as if it would do any harm just to lie there with her little brother for a bit. Ritsuka nuzzled her nose into his soft, black hair, tightening her grip on his small body. "Are you okay?" She whispered. "Dad didn't do anything while I was asleep, did he?"
There was no answer. He was still asleep.
Ritsuka sighed into his hair, a little bit relieved that he wasn't already awake from any aching. That was a good sign. The apartment was silent, save the sound of the birds outside the window. Keiko was probably already long gone, off to "work."

"KISSHU! GET YOUR ASS UP!!" Kisshu growled as the younger alien pounded mercilessly on his door.
"Dammit, Taruto, shut up!" He yelled, gnashing his teeth. As he sat up, his hair fell around him. He slept with it free from it's normal pulled back state, and it now tumbled irritatingly into his eyes.
He stretched. Whatever Taruto and Pai wanted him to do, they could do their own damn self. He was going to go check on his newest toy. He put her hair in place and put on his normal clothes instead of the t-shirt and sweats he had been wearing and teleported to outside her window.

Ritsuka sat up on her arm, gazing down at her little brother's face. She lightly moved the bangs away from his face with her fingertips, pressing her lips against his forehead, gently. "Hey..." She whispered against his skin. "Hey... Time to wake up, sweetie."
Ryoko moaned a little bit, but eventually pulled himself up to her level, rubbing his arms. "Suka..." He whispered. "Are Mom and Dad gone...?"
Ritsuka smiled lightly, pressing her forehead against his. "Yeah. Yeah, they both went to work early, I guess."
"Can I go to Hoshi's house tonight...?"
"If you want to. Do you want me to call his mom?"
"Yes, please."
"Okay, okay. But you have to get up."

Kisshu watched through the window as she interacted with her brother. She was so affectionate. Maybe he'd kill the boy in front of her; just to make her cry. She would sob over his lifeless body. He could imagine the pain glistening in her eyes, in her voice. "Why did you do this? Why?!" It gave him chills just imagining.

Ritsuka started up a brew of coffee, picking up the phone and dialing for Ryoko's friend. When his mother picked up, she chuckled. "Tsukasa-san, it's me. Yeah. Sorry for calling so early. Is it alright if Ryoko spends the night tonight? Mm. Keiko and his father are working late tonight, and... I think I could use a little break. Okay. I'll send him over right away. Thank you."
With that, she closed the cell phone, leaning her head back. "It's a yes, Ryoko! Pack up!"
She took a long sip of her coffee, stopping only to kiss her brother goodbye. "Be safe, don't slip on any ice. If you do, you have my number in the pager, right?"
"YES, sis!"

Kisshu waited a bit after the boy had left the house before ringing the doorbell. He figured he might as well keep playing nicely. It would make things hurt more for her when the time came. He tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for her to open the door. What would she say to him? If she was too rude, he would punish her. Hands down, no questions asked.

Ritsuka jumped at the sound of the doorbell. She sighed, moving quickly across the living room. There was no doubt in her mind that it was Heikichi, come to bug her about her overdue painting for the arts festival at school. Without bothering to change out of her pajamas or run a comb through her hair, she threw the door open. To her surprise, it wasn't Heikichi at all. Rather, it was the alien from yesterday.
"...You mean that wasn't a dream?" She asked, quizzically.

'A dream?' With a puzzled expression, he shook his head. "No, I'm very real. I came to see if you were still going to hate me even though I didn't do anything wrong." Ahh guilt trips. They were just so much fun.

Ritsuka ran a hand through her hair, suddenly displeased with her lack of preperation before coming to the door. "Ohhh, shit..." She exhaled. Her weight swayed a little bit, and she let out a breathy laugh. "So you're really here, at my door?" She stared at him in silence for a minute, a huge grin on her face. "Oh my God, I swear to God, I'm being Punk'd." That was her explanation for almost everything shocking. "Uhm... Well then! I never got you that coffee you came for last night, but uhm... There's a fresh pot inside. You--You want some?"
