I think everyone on this Forum should know the basics, but here they are.

Rules:

1. No god-modding, power-playing, or Mary/Gary suedom of any kind.
   
2. Keep things clean, you can be very suggestive and sexual in your posts, but fade to black before the actual act occurs, thanks.
   
3. You can either join as an OC or a Canon, just make sure that your keeping IC.
   
4. Links to your character are appreciated, if applicable; or post the Canon you wish to role play as if you'd just like that.

Since I made this thread, I'll be more than willing to start this thing off.

It happened again...

The young man ran swiftly down the dark alleyway, turning his head back ever so often to see if he was still being chased. Behind him were three monstrous looking demons, all of a low level even though they'd be more than enough to kill a human. He knew that they were unseen by humans, but that wasn't the same for him. That's the reason he stayed in the side streets, even though it was night he couldn't risk being seen running like a madman. His only hope was to make it to an open area that was free of civilians or wandering eyes.

...and I can't seem to stop it.

Without saying a word, the boy passed Aya without even a second glance. His speed was like a shade and in turn made him seem like a blur to her eyes. Since they were more focused on catching the man than attacking people, the three ghouls passed her and Temari with almost equal swiftness to the young man before. He had to get to a battle zone and fast before things got ugly.

"Dammit to holy hell, why do these fuckers always come after us, Ryuko?" The young male asked to seemingly no one around him, until the transparent image of a young raven haired boy, similar in body type and looks to the living male floated at his side. "You should know that by now Leo, the rite makes you a target to all malicious spiritual beings until your eighteenth year; this was all explained to you last year remember?"

This was true, but to be honest Leo had forgotten. After so many encounters with these things he'd only focused on surviving the day rather than contemplating the past or even remembering it. It was lucky for him though that these things only came out at night, when he was more able to fight them since he would be less likely to be seen. Something occurred to him though, why did they never attack anyone else but him; was it just because of that tattoo on his back? He'd never really gotten a straight answer.

Aya felt a breeze and looked around. She saw a blur as she turned followed by three more blurs. She was trying to see what they were but there was no way she could see what they were. She looked at her watch and looked at the bus stop. Temari floated over to it and she waited. Aya crossed the street and sat on the bench where the bus would stop. She looked at the time and saw she missed the last bus and she got so frustrated.

"Dammit! I can't believe I have to walk home." She snapped. She began walking down the side of the street. She was a little upset. The night wasn't a good time for a school girl to be walking around by herself. She kept pondering where the breeze came from and the blurs when she put in her earphones.

In the time it'd taken Aya to get to the bus stop, Leo and Ryuko reached their favorite place of battle in the middle of the school yard. This place had some pretty good memories for the boy. By good memories to him, it was a place he regularly beat up punks at his school. Ah, those were the days for him... before all this crazy shit.

"Well, better get this done quickly!" Leo shouted into the night, unlikely to be heard as he pulled his combat knives from their sheaths inside a secret inner jacket pocket of his school uniform. Thank goodness for Leo's standard issue clothing, or else he'd be up a creek without a paddle. "Now, it’s time to unleash Spirit Mode, Ryuko!"

Ryuko nodded and moved behind Leo as his blood seal began to radiate light through the back of his jacket, this was used as a quick way to enter his body by his spirit instead of transforming into Spirit Ball form first. The transformation was quick, and surprisingly not very spectacular although different. Leo's hair and eyes had changed, as well as his clothing to what his Guardian Ghost had. It was like he completely possessed his body, and manifested himself into a physical form. A human being used as a medium like a weapon? Such things weren't heard of, even in the Shaman community... at least not often.

Aya gasped from her lack of stamina. She kneeled down and sat on the street for a bit. Temari sighed and floated up.

"You have a little while to go, Aya. If you hurry, you'll make home in about 30 minutes." Temari said, from the distance she could see something going on at a nearby school. She narrowed her eyes and saw four figures. She decided not to be concerned but Aya could feel spiritual energy. She stood up and shook her head.

"I wouldn't be of much help. Fatigued like this." She stated just walking toward her home.

After his transformation, Leo looked up with ablazing eyes. His Furyoku leaking from his body in an invisible cloak of power. Something struck into his inner being that was something he'd always loved about being a Shaman. The feeling of freedom and release; it was as if he could do anything that he dreamed while in this state.

"Now you are mine... scum." He whispered softly, the voices of the two mixed together in synchronization like machines. The two seemed to be working together decently as they rushed at an even greater speed than when Leo passed by Aya in the alley. It was hard, even for a trained Shaman eye to keep up with this, but it wouldn't take but a human to be able to defeat him after he broke Spirit Mode.

Despite Aya's thoughts of her weakness, she had to see this boy. He was a potiental opponent and she had to at least get a little information on him, for her and her older brother's sake. She broke into a run. She was determined to watch him.

"Temi, Hyoi Gattai!" Aya shouted as she was directed by Temari on where to go.

She came to the gates of the school and Aya ended the fusion. She hid and watched in silence as the boy was standing but suddenly became a blur.

The spirits, and boy both stopped each time to attack one another. The difficulty for the boy was greater due to the fact it was three against one in this battle. All the spirits had enough spiritual power to harm humans, but not enough to be seen by other than Shaman. Aya could easily spot them as they all continued to ascend up into the air with each strike and soon their speed went back to being like blurs to her eyes.

Leo growled as he rushed the closest of the three, his blades crossing over one another as he dove into the mid-section of the phantasm. Using his Furyoku to coat his blades, he sliced through his first enemy before bursting out into a spinning motion. It seemed too inhuman even for a Shaman, the things he did; all that kept him from truly flying during this battle were wings.

Aya was able to see these creatures clearly as her body recovered from her run. She was intending to get a closer veiw of them but something kept her from doing so. There was something naturally frightening about those beings. She wondered if they were some type of demon or a fixated spirit. She was able to see their appearance before they were destroyed by this boy and she looked at Temari.

"Let's go." Temari said as Aya stood up. She attempted to sneak away quietly and walked across the street.

"Did you see those demon thingies? They were huge. Like this!" Aya stated excited as she took out her sketch book. She sat on the bus bench and began to draw those creatures as she had seen them. Once done, she tried to draw the boy they way she had seen him but she couldn't seem to get his face. She drew his hair, body and head fine but his face was so elusive.

Leo returned his blades after his fighting, panting heavily as he realized he would soon run out of power. "I love the powers and killing demonic spirits, that part I'm cool with... but do I really have to pass out after every fight? Seriously, I seem like a total wuss afterwards!" He groaned, jumping into a nearby brush to avoid sight of the others.

The boy knew he'd probably awake by the morning sun as he often did, so trying to return back to his apartment was just moronic. He knew that by experience, not so much common sense of the matter. After finding a good cover and adjusting to a easy stance the young male disbanded his Spirit Mode with Ryuko before falling soundly asleep.

Aya wasted no time running home. She knew that once she got there she would hear it from her sister-in-law. She sighed and slowed her pace when she was able to make it home. She walked on the sidewalk fairly slow and she looked at the large gate. Evil awaited inside.

"Eep!" Temari squeaked as Aya walked into the yard. She tensed and rushed to her room, hoping not to get noticed. She closed the door and went to sleep. She could handle punishment tomorrow.

Temari bounced up and down on Aya.

"Aya. Wake up. You'll... Be... Late!" She shouted as she bounced up and down.

Aya groaned and turned over. She didn't want to go to school today. She sat up and walked to the bathroom to take a shower as her brother slept on. She walked into the kitchen and made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She walked back to her room and got dressed. She picked her bag and walked to the door. She put on her shoes and Temari followed her.

"Should you wake Yoh-kun?" She asked.

"He's a big boy." Aya stated as she started walking.

The sun had risen enough to light most of the land, which was Leo's wicked alarm without a snooze button. He groaned and turned over to try and get out of the light, but soon found it impossible to do so. The haze of last night made him forget where he was, and waking up to an infamiliar place was never fun.

"What a good way to start the day..." Leo said sarcastically as he jumped down from the tree branch before rubbing his eyes to awaken himself.

In his sight was the school, his memories of the night before starting to become more clear as he pieced things along. 'That's right... I was in a battle last night, with those Tainted Spirits.' This thought rang in his mind back and forth for a while, since his brain wasn't fully working due to the being active for about a quarter of an hour.

Leo shook his head a bit in a vain attempt to become fully active for the day ahead. It was at that time his eye caught a glimpse of the school water fountain. This could be used to wake him up, so he strolled towards it quickly in an attempt to splash cold water into his eyes. To feel the tingling sensation down across his facial features would, in his mind, most likely have him up and about with little complication.

Aya stopped by a store to get some melon bread to fill her up since she forgot lunch. Today was going to be just as boring as all the other days and she took a bite. She looked up and saw one of the girls from her class. She noticed Aya but pretended not to. Aya could tell by the way she turned from her and ran across the street.

'Why do I keep pushing people away? I'm going to be that one lonely old woman with a gazillion animals and have the local kids throwing rocks at my house just to see if they can hit it.' Aya thought as Temari floated to her head.

Temari watched all the people, her eyes occasionally wandering when she felt the energy from the day before. She felt it was getting closer or Aya was moving toward it on her own.

Leo was washing his face as this occurred, his eyes drooping in a tired manner as he quickly shook his head to get the water off his face. Just like when he awoke, the young man groaned as he stretched his back in an awkward manner. His eyes began to finally started to brink with energy, making them almost able to stand the still rising sun. Always the mornings, that's what killed him right after a battle.

"Yo, Ryuko, what time is it exactly...?" The young Shaman asked, his eyes closed as he waits for an answer from his Guardian Ghost. Strangely enough, there was nothing to be heard. "Ryuko...?" With his eyes opened, Leo turned around himself to see his Spirit missing from his side. 'Something is off... Ryuko doesn't just go off by himself when I'm not awake...'

Ryuko himself was off scouting the city Shaman, trying to keep himself from detection in order to be as stealthy as possible. Sneaking around wasn't his best skill, but as a Ghost he was more likely to be invisible that normal humans couldn't see him. As he turned, he noticed the presence of a young, developing Shaman with their Spirit Ally. This made Ryuko focus his crimson eyes down towards Aya and Temari, keeping himself on top of a fenced off roof.

"So this is some of what we're going to be up against... I think they were the ones that watched Leo last night, but I can't verify that..." The only reason for Ryuko's talking aloud was of his elevation, and the fact he thought of himself not being in anyone's eye at the time.

Temari could feel the spiritual energy getting closer with each step as she looked around. No one seemed to notice her atop Aya's head, except for a few small children. Aya nibbled on her bread, losing her hunger in her sadness. Temari looked up and saw a figure in the distance but she assumed it was just a delinquent. She watched Aya walk into the school gates and she saw a boy near the fountain. She tilted her head. He looked familiar but she couldn't place it.

"Better keep an eye on those two..." Ryuko whispered to himself as he noticed the small Spirit look up at him, his astral form shifting into the shadows as if it belonged there. Soon he returned to Leo's side behind him in a near invisible state to even Shaman kind. All that could really be made out, if payed enough attention to, would be the outline Leo would have around his body.

Leo on the other hand was not even facing towards the girls, but looking up at the sun he so hated. He slid out his right hand and raised his arm upward, opening his hand to have his palm block some of the light. Streams of the light, which ran through his fingers, glimmered on his face as he closed his right eye. "Damn... it's gonna be a bright day..."

Aya sat on the other side fountain. She hadn't noticed Leo at all and she finished eating. She sighed.

"I hate the sun. I hate mornings. I hate melon bread." Aya sighed.

"Then why did you eat it?" Temari asked.

Aya didn't say anything. She ran her hands under the water of the fountain and sighed. She felt bad about being different but she had to act normal in order not to be called a freak. As she blankly stared a few girls wandered up to her.

"Its the know-it-all loner. What are you doing here by yourself?" One of them asked, in a taunting voice.

"If you hadn't noticed, this is a school. School is for learning that is why I'm here, moron." Aya replied.

The girl turned red from embarrassment, narrowing her eyes. She pushed Aya into the fountain and Aya's clothes were completely soaked. She looked at the girl and narrowed her eyes.

Leo focused his sharp gaze towards the girls, his spirit almost mimicking him for a moment. The young man knew that she was a Shaman, and in turn would one day be his enemy, but even so...

"Hey, is there a problem here?" He asked with a bit of a sarcastic tone, knowing full well the situation as he stepped forward.

The uniform he wore as completely different from theirs, which was a bright crimson and black skirt. His was complete blue uniform, pants and jacket with the insignia on his collar. "I might not know the rules of this school, but I don't think that you should be pushing classmates into the water fountains."
