A long grin grew fiendishly across Hao's lips. "Wouldn't you like to know?" He said, glancing up at the sky. "My, my... This country is terribly hot, don't you think?"

Eioku frowned, displeased by Houka's crude language. She looked down at little Ushio, who seemed unaffected by his words. "Ushio, sweetie, why don't you run ahead and scout out, like Hao asked you to? Houka and I need to have a talk."

{Did I tell you guys? I'm joining the navy next year.}

Ushio glanced up, tightening her grip on Eioku's hand.
"But I don't want to..." She whispered, her eyes glossing over with a dark brown haze.

Ren's eyes narrowed.
"It's best if I don't get too friendly with any of you. Don't forget, we're all going to have to fight one another eventually. Frankly, I'd rather you give me your all in battle rather than hold back due to some stupid emotions."

Aya smiled to hide the hurt. "I understand. I'll be sure not to disappoint you. Sorry about getting to close. I'll try to stay out of your way from now on." Aya whispered, walking away.

Ren winced at her words. They stung. It made his limbs freeze up with a merciless burning sensation. His fingers itched to reach out and stop her from walking away, but... This was for the best. This was the way it had to be.
Damn it...

ooc/ As far as I knew we were... I mean, Eioku's got a teeny thing for Houka cuz she's a horny teenager, but that doesn't mean the initial plan isn't still in motion.

'Some guy. You really know how to pick them, Ai.' Sydra thought. She looked at Aya and smiled. She floated toward her. "Want a ride?" Sydra asked.

Aya looked up at Sydra and shook her head. "I kind of want to be alone, if that's alright. I just want to think." Aya whispered.

Sydra narrowed her eyes and looked into Aya's mind. She smirked as Aya turned to leave.

Ren arched his head back, letting his eyes wander to Sydra.
I swear. I'm going to kill you one day. Just you wait.
She disgusted him to no end. Seeping into people's heads, messing with their minds.
Ren had to roll his eyes. What kind of shaman does that to her allies?

"Get in line, China boy. That disgusting kitten wants to kill me too. I think he's got dibs since he actaully cares." Sydra smiled, floating away. Sydra smirked and sped by Aya ripping the necklace off. "Come and get it." Sydra shouted as though she was playing around.

"Sydra!" Aya shouted, chasing Sydra.

"Yeah, it is pretty ho-" Leo began smiling until his words were cut off, as if he was unable to speak. He felt his heart start feeling as if it was being bobbed around like some kind of toy, Leo could feel that Aya didn't have the necklace on anymore. 'What is going on... is it Sydra doing this to me?'

"Sydra, give it back. It means too much to me." Aya shouted as she chased after her.

Sydra smiled and waved it before her. "You have to do better than that, sweetheart." Sydra laughed, teasing Aya.

Leo's chest was pounding, he couldn't tell what was happening but he knew that his heart was in danger. "H-Hey I'm gonna go off for a bit... I'll catch up with you later." He whispered to Hao before teleporting off to a place he could be alone.

Sydra stopped and hovered above Aya dangling the necklace out of her reach. "Jump for it, sweetie." Sydra shouted and she looked at Aya ready to laugh.

"This isn't fair, Sydra. Give it back." Aya begged.

Leo was floating in mid-air, his chest feeling like it was being punched from the inside. He knew his heart was in danger... what was happening though?

Sydra raised her hand and looked at Aya when she entered her mind and Aya felt a sharp pain. Aya grabbed the necklace and held it tightly.

"Don't do that." Aya shouted.

Sydra was taken aback by her sudden outburst and narrowed her eyes at her. Aya placed the necklace back and looked at Sydra but was afraid of Sydra's glare.

Leo felt the pain in his chest begin to subside as his heart seemed to be calmed. "Please Aya... have my heart with you now." He whispered as he closed his eyes.

Eioku pushed Ushio forward, letting her wander off. She then folded her arms over her chest, not looking up to Houka as she spoke. "What's your problem?" She asked, sharply. "Ushio's just a kid, and here you are acting like she's some kind of monster all the time. Were the curse words really nessicary in front of such a small person?"

Aya looked at Sydra and backed away.

"You would rather be with trash then find someone else that's worth your time. You're stupid but I'll fix that." Sydra stated as she creeped into her mind.

Houka did not look at Eioku or even really acknowledge that he was talking to her. "In all honesty, I could be nice." He started, still not smiling. "Although, if that little cretin really wanted me to respect her one bit, she wouldn't treat me like horse shit the minute she started talking to me. I mean, I am older than her."

Eioku pushed her lower lip out into a childish pout and looked away. "You're a real dickhead sometimes, you know that?" She muttered. "I mean, maybe if you were a bit more sensitive to the subject, she'd pick up on it and treat you a bit better. You're making it very hard for ME to respect you at this point."

Leo felt his head fully settled as he teleported back to the ground. "I'm back..." He whispered as he looked at Eioku and Houka.

Kisani sighed and pushed Sydra off the feather.

"Have you lost your mind?" Kisani stated until she thought about it, "That was a stupid question."

Sydra narrowed her eyes and pulled from Aya's mind. Aya fainted and the feather caught her.

"I promised-" Kisani started.

"I know you promised the alien." Sydra sighed.

"No one ever asked you to respect me in the first place!" Houka shouted. "Who the hell kidnapped you!? As I remember, it was me! If you were any normal person, you'd probably be despising me just as you look at me but you start to look up to me!? The hell is wrong with you!?" With this, the shaman went and sped up, walking a head of the rest of the group. 'I'm getting tired of having to deal with all this drama crap.'

Eioku blinked, her eyes suddenly wide. She watched him speed up, biting down on her bottom lip.
If you were any normal person...
Her eyes narrowed a bit, staring down into the desert dirt. Well... he was right. She should be hating him, despising the littlest things about him. After all, he'd taken her away from everything she'd ever known.
But... What was she supposed to do? Say sorry for... respecting him?
"Hey, wait a minute!" She called out, running to catch up with him.
